I’ve been navigating life, sometimes on top of the mountain, at other times buried beneath it, for over sixty years. Learning, growing, changing. As I continue to explore and learn, I hope to live more great stories. I’ll share them with you.
I started a surety bond agency at age 24. The business grew into a national company with offices in Nashville and Tucson. After over 20 years in the corporate world I sold the company and decided to pursue a different career.
Fulfilling a life long dream, I purchased the martial arts school where I first earned my black belt as a young adult. For ten years I had the opportunity to teach the life skills and discipline of the martial arts. The relationships and friendships that were formed are the true gold of my life.
Next came a move to Colorado where I began a deeply personal journey of introspection and discovery. I had wonderful adventures and experiences that made me look at myself and the world in a completely different way. Yoga and delving into true connection became my focus. I started painting again.
Art has always been in my soul, creativity a drumbeat in all that I did. But it was not until August of 2018 that I found the next passion. Dot painting mandala began as an activity to do with my kiddo when they visited my cabin in Pagosa Springs. It became an obsession, a meditation, a purpose. Now I interpret sights, sounds, and feelings into colors and shapes that form mandala paintings on rocks, canvas and many other surfaces. Some are sold. Some are gifted. Some I keep, for now.
I am proud mom of three unique and wonderful human beings. I have a rainbow family and I am an ally for the LGBTQ+ community. Transsexual rights and protections are of critical importance to me.
Now living in a geodesic dome house in Little Rock, Arkansas I have circled back to my roots in the south. I am looking forward to seeing what stories await.
